Alex Ryer, Vice President of Northern Trust, is a member of the quantitative active team responsible for research and implementation of several quantitative equity strategies. He currently co-manages the Northern Enhanced Large Cap Fund and the Northern Small Cap Core Fund.

Prior to joining Northern Trust in 2005, Mr. Ryer held Senior Portfolio Management positions at Rhumbline Advisers and State Street Global Advisors.

Mr. Ryer holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Bucknell University and an MBA from the University of New Hampshire. He is a CFA charterholder, a Certified Financial Risk Manager and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
